The question I get more than any other, from people moving here and from locals ready for a change, is "Where should I live?"
Fair question. Las Cruces, NM covers a lot of ground. You can live on an acre of pecan orchard in the Mesilla Valley, in a newer build on the East Mesa with the Organ Mountains out your window, or in a historic adobe a short walk from downtown. Those are three very different lives, and they can all land in the same price range.
So I built the Las Cruces Neighborhood Match, a free quiz that scores 57 areas across Las Cruces and the surrounding valley against what you tell me you want.
How it works
You choose how deep you want to go.

The questions cover the things that actually change your day-to-day:
Your budget
Where you drive most days (NMSU, downtown, the northeast side, White Sands Missile Range, Holloman Air Force Base, or Spaceport America) and how long a commute you'll put up with
East or west of I-25, and north or south of Highway 70
Near the Rio Grande, at the base of the mountains, or surrounded by farmland
How much land you want, and whether you need room for horses
New construction or an established home
A walkable residential street or more space between you and the neighbors
How you feel about an HOA

Your biggest tradeoff, because almost every home search has one. Wanting acreage and a short walk to coffee, for example, pull in opposite directions, and it's much better to know that before you start touring.

Why I made it
Most neighborhood guides describe each area on its own. That's useful, but it leaves the comparing to you. The quiz does the comparing based on your priorities instead of a generic "best of" list.
Think of it as a starting point, not a verdict. An afternoon driving your top three will tell you more than any website can, and I'd be glad to show you around when you're ready.
